Fall Soccer Highlights

Adrianna had her last game of Fall Soccer this Saturday. She had a lot of
fun playing this year, and her team really improved over the 2 months that
they played together. I had fun watching the games and taking pictures,
great job Adrianna!

Halloween Prep

We are all set for Halloween. Halloween is one of Sarah's favorite times of
year. She especially loves baking, and I can't think of a better way to
heat the house on these cool fall days than with spice aromas coming from
the kitchen.

Earlier this week we had cousin Bobby over to help us carve pumpkins.
Alicia really got into cleaning out the "Pumpkin Brains" this year. We made
a moon pumpkin for her. She looks for "her friend moon" every night.
Adrianna and Bobby made a vampire jack-o-lantern. We are now looking
forward to an upcoming week full of spooky fun and yummy goodies.

Eat a kitty

"I want to eat the kitty!" exclaimed both Adrianna and Alicia
yesterday morning for breakfast. No we are not practicing witchcraft,
Sarah made some Halloween shaped pancakes for us to enjoy.
Fortunately there were enough kittens for everyone. My personal
favorite was the jack-o-lantern.

Return to blogging

As you can tell I have almost given up on updating our blog. But my
Brother David pointed me to a nifty service that publishes from e-mail
called Posterous. I can send an e-mail to the service and it will
publish the content just about anywhere I you want, facebook, twitter,
blogger, etc. This makes posting for me much simpler and maybe I can
include Sarah in the fun. So for anyone who follows, you can look
forward to more posts of our amazing girls, school, an occasional
cake, maybe some fun shape pancakes, more pictures of two very cute
girls, and more. Enjoy!

Goooooaaaaaalllllll!!!!!!!

Adrianna scored her first goal yesterday!  It was also the first goal for the team this season so everybody was jumping and screaming, especially her mommy!  I managed to capture a couple shots of the event.  Adrianna managed to get the ball out of the pack and went straight for the goal.

Girl Priorities

It looks like Alicia has established her priorities early. Chocolate Cake, Vampire movie, and a glass of milk in that order. We usually throw the paper cover of DVD's away, but Alicia snagged this one and takes it with her everywhere. She was looking at the cover when we served dessert and she set it up like this. She was very happy with her cake, moomie, and milk!

Happy Birthday Sarah

We celebrated Sarah's Birthday this weekend. Her primary request was for me to make the Hazelnut Chocolate Torte which I made last year for her birthday. It is a deliciously sinful delight that we enjoy once a year! I arranged for her to have a massage today and we finished our weekend of celebrations with a dinner out at PF Changs today (they make the best Mongolian Beef there!). We do our best to pamper Sarah on her special day. She does so much for us every day that the least we could do is provide some delicious meals, some relaxation, and a few less chores for the weekend. We love you Sarah!

Valentines Day

Though we were all sick this weekend we still enjoyed a wonderful Valentines together. Sarah made some Valentines pink (Raspberry) pancakes :-). And I made us a steak dinner which we all enjoyed very much. We finished off the evening with a delicious triple chocolate torte. I am so grateful for all of my wondeful Valentines especially my first Valentine Sarah. My girls truly are the love of my life, I couldn't imagine it without them!

Pirate Santa

According to Alicia, Santa says "Yo Ho Ho". That answers the question about what he does the rest of the year. He's a pirate sailing the high seas in search of hidden treasure! Hope everyone in Colorado is looking forward to a White Christmas, we certainly are!

A Delicious Talent

About 3 years ago Sarah took up a new hobby of cake decorating.  She wanted to be able to make beautiful, fun cakes for all of our celebrations.  She took several classes and bought some supplies and started making cakes.  In the past several years we have enjoyed some very delicious and wonderfully decorated cakes.  She does an amazing job and she has fun with it.  I look forward to the future cakes we will continue to enjoy as she continues to develop this delicious talent.

Knock Knock

Who’s there…

Nobody's home.

That has been Alicia’s favorite knock knock joke for some time now, unfortunately it has been true of late for our blog as well.  Alicia picked up repeating this knock knock joke after a visit from cousin Bobby where he read a Halloween knock knock book that we have.  It is very cute to hear her say, until about the 5th time or so!

Anyway, we have been very busy lately mostly with Adrianna in kindergarten and I have not taken the time to blog.  I hope everyone had a fun and happy Halloween.  Though I cannot believe it is here already we are looking forward to the upcoming holiday season!

Just thought I would throw up some fun pictures to make this post more than just words.
