Balloon Fiesta Sampling

Just thought I would share with everyone a sampling of some of the ballooons at the fiesta. This is one of the most photographed events in the world. I can see why between Tracey, Sarah & myself; I have over 300 pictures to sort through. The event is going on all week, so if you want to take a 6 hour weekend drive to see the sky filled with hundreds amazing balloons it is worth the drive. I think my favorite is the upside down pyramid, we didn't get a great picture of it but I love the shape. Leave me a comment about which is your favorite.

My favorite was a Nemo balloon, but I did not get a chance to take a picture of it.

One the fifty things I want to do before is too late...Go to Albuquerque MN for the hot-air balloon rally...I have already taken a ride, it did impressed me, especially when it rose over the hills and I could see the Pacific Ocean's horizon, but it was only one balloon! How about making it a date for next year?

OK..you all know that English is my second language, right?
So I forgot to proof read my comment...It should say..."One of the fifty..." I think that Albuquerque is in New Mexico, not in Mexico New!! LOL on me!

Wow! And I was all excited and impressed with our Balloon Show here in the Springs. But in Albuquerque there's so much more and a lot more variety of balloons. We'll have to experience that too. Thanks for sharing. I'm glad you had the chance to spend some time with Tracy and the family. Tell her hi for me.

P.S. Joseph the upside down pyrmid balloon crashed and burned the last Fri of the fiesta, the co-pilot was killed.

We saw on the news that a balloon had crashed. I was hopeful that it wasn't the same balloon, but apparently it was! That is really unfortunate.
